 Provide you with the best, cost effective way to keep your garbage and trash out of your way. 

Our Policies:

Effective November 1, 2007, the Public Service has modified our rates and rules. You may contact the West Virginia Public Service Commission at 1-800-642-8544. The following rules and policies for Morgan Sanitation Residential Service are now in effect.

1. When you come on the service you will be assigned a pickup day.  Your trash must be placed out for pickup at the end of your driveway or next to your mailbox no later than 5 am on the day of your pickup, and be clearly visible to our drivers.  The Morgan County “911” location must be marked so that our drivers can see it.  Actual time of pickup will vary from week to week.  If your trash has not been picked up by the following day please call 304-258-3544 as soon as possible to correct this.  Our business hours are Monday thru Friday 8:30am untill 4:30pm.                                                                                                                   
2. Morgan Sanitation will take up to six (6) standard 30-gallon bags of inside household trash per week.  There is a 30# weight limit per bag or bundle.
3. Morgan Sanitation only takes two Holidays – Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Thanksgiving customers – always on a Thursday will have their trash picked up the following day – Friday.  Christmas Day customers will have their trash picked up the following week on New Year’s Day – double the amount, 12 bags.  When possible we will try to get back to Christmas Day customers later in the week.  Please check the local newspaper or call 258-3544 for schedules.
4. If we are unable to pick up your trash due to adverse weather conditions, it will be the same as Christmas – the following week – double pick up.
5. Payments can be mailed to PO Box 246, Berkeley Springs or delivered to our office on 32 Radio Station Road during regular business hours.  We accept cash or checks.
6. All trash must be in tied plastic bags weighing no more than 30lbs.  Cardboard, newspapers, magazines, and boxes are to be tied securely in bundles and each bundle is counted as one bag.  No loose trash.  We are NOT responsible for cleaning up any trash spilled by animals, weather, etc.
7. Deadbeats will not be tolerated. A customer is one household.  No combining of households is allowed – even if the total number of bags is six or less per week.  Any one caught doing this will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
8. Morgan Sanitation will not pick up any loose trash.  We encourage our customers to place their bags in some type on protective container.
9. We will not accept any hazardous waste, toxic waste, burnt material,liquid paint, medical waste, or refrigerants.  The customer will assume any expenses incurred due to improper disposal of such items.
10.  Residential accounts are billed by the calendar month.  No credit is given for part months.  Customers may temporarily discontinue by notifying our office in advance and receive credit for those calendar months not used.  Customers will have to call our office to reinstate their service upon their return.
11.  Tires will be taken with advance notice.  There is a limit of 8 tires in any 12-month period.  Tires must be 16 inches or less, clean and off the rim.  Please call for scheduling.
12.  “Bulk Goods” defined as bedding, furniture, and non –refrigerant appliances will be taken with advance notice.  Limited to 2 items per month.  Please call for scheduling.   
13. Delayed Payment Penalty.  On all accounts not paid in full within twenty days after the due date for payment, a ten percent (10%) penalty maybe added to the net amount shown.
14. Service will be terminated for non-payment.  After termination a fee of $5.00 will be charged for restoring service.  This will be in addition to the Delayed Payment Penalty and security deposit.
